It’s a gorgeous thing. Croatian-made, from the 75 year old company Pastor. They call it a 1930 Dress. It’s real leather, too! I got it as a birthday gift.
I’m probably gonna mount it in the trunk somewhere, or maybe between the front seats if I can find the room, which is tricky. I really wanna show it off and not hide it.
They have a bunch more of them, in different sizes, for different applications (boat stuff, electric fires, etc.). The packaging is gorgeous, too. It make
s a great gift.
Here’s the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! if you’re interested. I don’t know if they ship to the states, you can send an email and ask. If someone really wants it bad, I can maybe help you out, they’re based here in Zagreb.
Any other ideas on mounting it? I was thinking of showing it off like they do with airride systems, on the back shelf (once I get one, it’s missing now), but I think it’s gonna be too heavy to stay there.
It does come with a bracket to hold it in place, I forgot to take a pic of it. Do you have interesting fire extinguishers? Let me see ‘em!

P.S. Twingo updates and to-do checklist coming soon. He’s hon-hon-ing away happily and says L’Hi! Comment “Merci Twingo!” for good fortune and fire-free motoring.

I had to refresh my memory a bit, but your
truck is
beautiful
, the emblem on the front is so cool. I think a nice access
ory like this would fit nicely, and it can be a lifesaver
if you need it. You could also get one closer to you and repaint it to match the truck’s color.

Is it a clean agent extinguisher? I would love to get one of these before I need it.

I keep a generic one just under the driver’s seat of my truck, accessible easily with the door open. I would feel especially dumb as the truck was a fire dept. vehicle for so long, not to mention the obvious general likelihood of any 58-year-old machine to misbehave.

Yeah, I really should have one.
We use Cold Fire at our race track, maybe I should pick up one of those.

How much are they in kuna?

Yeah, here are the specs. These aren’t for my model specifically but it’s similar. They have different kinds of fi laments and pressure modes.
COMPUTER
edition features small portable extinguishers with constant pressure and
fillings with 2 or 3 kg of (the so called Clean Agent) hexafluoride
propane (HFC-236fa), as a substitute agent for Halon 1211.
Besides
being completely environmentally-friendly (ODP zero) and efficient, this
particular agent is non-toxic, electrically neutral and clean – does
not leave any traces after application.
The COMPUTER edition
devices are primarily aimed at fighting initial fires on computer
equipment. According to client’s particular wishes, the COMPUTER edition
portable extinguishers can be ordered in a more luxurious design with a
chrome tank.

If I recall correctly the 2L one
was around 280 kuna, or 44 US dollars. I can’t find the exact figure on their website.

hm, it is the shipping from Croatia to Canada (and duties) that will drive it into unreasonable territory though.

Is it a requirement in Croatia to have an extinguisher in your car? I think some EU countries require it, not Germany though.

No idea TBH, I’ll have to check. I just really like this one so it’s going in.

Very cool. The nearest thing the Americans can get are the Safe-T range for about a hundred bucks
...and they are powder only.

Oh wow that’s gaudy. This one is around 40 bucks if I recall correctly. It turns out it’s a better option for you
to get a regular one and modify it to match your car or truck, at least in color.
